YAWÁ Kene Colors

A connection with the spirit of the forest

Deep within the Brazilian Amazon, the ‘kenes’ come to life. Translated as indigenous designs or patterns, they are also gateways to an invisible universe, woven by the spirituality of the Yawanawa people. Every line, curve and shape embodies the essence of the natural forces and sacred medicines that inhabit this sacred territory.

More than just art, the ‘kenes’ refl ect the rituals, stories, and spiritual forces of this deeply rooted tradition. Found in body paintings, beadwork, and ceremonial garments, these draws invite us to see the world through the eyes of the Yawanawa — a place where everything is intertwined, and every color and shape carries a divine purpose.

The Yawa Kene Colors collection is the result of a shared dream between Nawashahu Yawanawa and Maria Sanz. Born in the depths of the forest and brought to the world in order to spread the Amazonian beauty and magic that transcends the visible.

Yawa Kene Colors is an invitation to cover our bodies and souls with the wisdom and energy of the Amazon Rainforest. It calls us to feel, through the ‘kenes’, all the life and sacred forces that come from the heart of the jungle and resonate within each of us.

During a spiritual diet, Nawashahu Yawanawa, in deep connection with nature, translated the invisible world into lines and colors that brought each design in this collection to life. This creation honors the sacred moment of this communion, where the forest spirits revealed itselves in unique and vibrant forms, meant for those who can hear the call of mother nature.

Each piece and design has been carefully crafted as a harmonious weave of traditional Yawanawa garments and the timeless identity of kimonos, made from 100% viscose fabrics, for those who recognize life as the most sacred of all ceremonies.

A collection that, through the forms of nature and the forest spirits, reclaims the life and vibrant colors within us and the beautiful world from which we all originate.
